Intermediates - La Plagne is known as an intermediates paradise. Plenty of blues and red slopes and the runs into Plagne Montalbert are tree lined, and hold the snow well.
Experts - There are some great mogully reds, some serious long black runs and legendary off piste. Hire a guide to go further afield.
Snow Boarding - Snow boarders are well catered for with a boarder cross and a half pipe located at Plagne Bellcotte.
The Resort & Skiing
La Plagne was one of the original ‘designed' ski areas. It is a vast area of over 200km of marked runs and made up of 10 satellite villages. The high Villages are made up of the sixties and seventies inspired Plagne Centre, Aime 2000 and Plagne Bellcotte. While the newer villages: such as Village and Belle Plagne have been built in a more traditional low rise style.
Montalbert is one of the La Plagne villages, however it has grown from being a farming village lived in year round by the locals. This gives it a charm and atmosphere not found in many ski resorts.
In 2003 Les Arcs and La Plagne were linked by a fantastic new cable car called the Vanoise express . This links the two areas together and provides in total more than 420km of pistes for you to enjoy. It is well worth making the trip over.
The ski range is from 1300 meters to over 3200 metres on the glaciers.
The lift company has invested heavily in new chairs and high speed lifts. Extensive snow making equipment makes guarantees skiing back into Montalbert.
